Vine Maple

While taking a class from Claudia Nice at her Brightwood Studio on Mt. Hood, we were given the assignment to go outside and draw a tree for a watercolor wash.

I wandered around in the woods for awhile until I saw a small vine maple in the midst of the other trees. It was so pretty and colorful; it had to be my subject!
