Brightwood Studio

Art retreats and workshops, as well as instructional books and videos by Claudia Nice.
Claudia was instrumental in helping me develop my skills in pen and ink. I was able to take several workshops with her and continue to use her advice and instructions in my drawings. The last workshop I took at Brightwood Studio helped me develop the skill to depict realistic fur. The result of that workshop is shown in the pen and ink drawing "Wolf" (left).
I always enjoy her classes and would recommend them for anyone from beginner to the advanced student.

Expanding the relationships between art, nature and humanity.
I took my classes with Eileen Sorg, from Two Dog Studio (below), at the Sitka Center, located just north of Lincoln City, OR. What a beautiful venue surrounded by trees, wildflowers, and wildlife, atop Cascade Head overlooking the Salmon River and the Pacific Ocean!

Fine Art & Limited Editions By Eileen F. Sorg
I had just begun to explore mixing pen and ink with watercolor and colored pencil when I took Eileen's class, Colored Pencil Stew. Some of my most popular art work is a result of the process I learned in that class.
If you have the opportunity to take one of Eileen's great classes - do! You won't be disappointed.
